A crown or a cap is a cover placed over your damaged or weakened tooth to bring back its natural look and prevent further deterioration. Depending on the number of consecutive teeth that you are missing, your bridge may be three or more units, two crowns attached to the teeth on either side of the space known as abutments and one or more artificial teeth called pontics, for filling any empty spaces.
